2 charged in Highway 401 crash near Odessa, Ont.

Two people have been charged in connection with a crash on Highway 401 near Odessa, Ont., that killed one person and injured another.
The crash happened shortly after 2 p.m. on Friday, March 17. A tractor-trailer lost a set of wheels, which struck a passenger vehicle. The passenger vehicle then collided with a transport truck.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, a 54-year-old man from Kingston, was killed in the crash. The driver of the transport truck, a 60-year-old man from Calgary, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The two occupants of the tractor-trailer, a 30-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, were not injured.
The 30-year-old man has been charged with careless driving causing death and careless driving causing bodily harm. The 29-year-old woman has been charged with careless driving.
The charges have not been proven in court.
