Cant Justify Starting Cousins In Fantasy Week 2

Can't justify starting Cousins in fantasy Week 2

The Vikings' offense had a rough outing against the Packers in Week 1 and Cousins was a big part of the problem

The Vikings lost their season opener to the Packers 23-7 in a game that was never really close. Cousins finished the game 23-of-40 for 277 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. He was also sacked four times.

Cousins' performance was particularly disappointing given that the Packers were without their top two cornerbacks, Jaire Alexander and Kevin King

The Vikings' offense was able to move the ball at times, but they couldn't sustain drives and they couldn't score points. Cousins was often inaccurate with his passes and he made several poor decisions.

There are a number of reasons to be concerned about Cousins going forward

First, the Vikings' offensive line is not very good. They allowed four sacks against the Packers and they were consistently getting pushed around.

Second, the Vikings' receivers are not very good either. Justin Jefferson is a star, but the rest of the receiving corps is unproven.

Third, the Vikings' schedule is tough. They play the Eagles, Cardinals, and Saints in the next three weeks. These are all tough matchups and Cousins will need to play much better than he did in Week 1 if the Vikings are going to win.

Overall, there are a lot of reasons to be concerned about Cousins going forward

He is not playing well, the Vikings' offense is not very good, and their schedule is tough. If you are thinking about starting Cousins in fantasy this week, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
