Mystery Shropshire man wins £1m in EuroMillions draw

Lucky winner remains anonymous after scooping life-changing prize

A mystery Shropshire man has become a millionaire after winning £1m in the EuroMillions draw. The lucky winner matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star number in the draw on Tuesday, July 19.

The National Lottery have confirmed that the winner has chosen to remain anonymous.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: "We're delighted to have another big winner from Shropshire. We hope the lucky ticket-holder enjoys their win."

The winning numbers were 14, 16, 33, 42, 49 and the Lucky Star numbers were 3 and 12.

The EuroMillions draw takes place every Tuesday and Friday. Players can choose five numbers from 1 to 50 and two Lucky Star numbers from 1 to 12.

The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 139,838,160.

The lucky winner is the second person from Shropshire to win the EuroMillions jackpot in the past year.

In May 2022, a syndicate of seven friends from Shrewsbury won a share of the £109m jackpot.
